Is there a fee for working with SSi?
There is no fee to our employees.
If I take time off under FMLA, will I lose my job upon returning?
At the completion of the approved leave period, an employee will be reinstated to his or her former position or a position of equivalent classification and pay within the company.
What should I do if I am injured on the job?
It is important to report all injuries to a supervisor/or employer immediately. This is important so that the severity of the injury can be assessed and proper care can be administered.
Are the YTD hours on my check stub the total hours accumulated for Paid Time Off?
No. The Year To Date (YTD) hours are the hours worked during the current year. They accumulate from paycheck to paycheck regardless of how many assignments you have worked. The payroll department runs weekly reports that indicate how many Paid Time Off hours have been accumulated by employee. In order to find out how many Paid Time Off hours you have, contact the payroll department at 298-9440.
What do I do if I have a question on an invoice or notice a discrepancy?
Call our payroll department at 298-9440. Southwest Staffing, inc., keeps detailed records of each invoice and can provide fast and friendly answers to your invoicing questions.
How much experience do I need?
Most of our light industrial positions do not require any experience. Each of the companies that we service has different job requirements, which will be given to you when you are called for an assignment.
How should I dress for work?
All employees are expected to present a clean, neat and professional appearance at all times while on duty. Employees will dress in relation to the employment and standard of normally accepted dress for the job he or she performs
How does an employee report an unsafe work environment?
If you believe your work environment is unsafe, you should contact your immediate Supervisor and follow up with the Risk and Safety Management department.
Can my invoice be separated by department or in any other way that will facilitate my cost analysis?
Yes. Southwest Staffing can separate your invoice in any manner to meet your individual needs.
What do I do if I forget to clock-in/out or lose my time card?
It varies. Each of our clients has a different procedure for missed punches or misplaced time cards. The most efficient way to handle such a problem is to contact the payroll department for instructions on how to handle this situation in a way that will not cause a delay to your pay.
